Foz do Iguaçu / Cataratas International Airport is the most important means of arrival for tourists in the city. The small airport is just over 13 km from the city center and is currently responsible for making not only national flights, but also international ones. Its main flights are mainly to cities such as Porto Alegre, Curitiba, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

The terminal is small and has limited space. There are not so many commercial options or comfort in the place, but it is undergoing renovations and will soon be modernized to serve a larger audience and with greater comfort.

As an option, travelers can use Puerto Iguazú Airport (IGR), the Argentine border town that is also a strong tourist destination. The airport can be used for those who want to visit the falls, but the number of flights there is more limited and generally against the flow for those traveling from Brazil. On the Paraguayan side, access can be made through Guarani International Airport (AGT), which has direct flights with TAM, departing from Guarulhos, in São Paulo. Remember do not host in Argentina or Paraguay due to uncertainty regarding customs process to get in Brazil.

If you are traveling from outside of Brazil, you may not find direct flights to Foz do Iguaçu, therefore, you may prefer to travel through Guarulhos, in São Paulo where you may switch flights with no need for changing airports.
